Take a deep breath. We (America) are already broke and now we're processing the forclosure papers on our posterity. Despite all of the hype in D.C., it's over. Anyone watching a sporting event knows when it's over. The clock is winding down and we're down by 30 (trillion). You and I have allowed this to happen. We have allowed persons to be elected to our highest offices that we wouldn't invite to a barbeque. They have, for years, insulated themselves from any responsibility. Talk about protectionism.
What can be done about it? I'm open to ideas. Ironically, the price tag we're putting on future generations takes on the added impact of fewer citizens being available to pay the taxes. Abortion reduces the workforce by 1 million a year. Wouldn't you think these geniuses in D.C. would figure that out?!!

They can make up the population difference with illegals walking across the Rio Grande
ReplyDeleteHere's a few thoughts...
ReplyDelete1) Congress needs to entertain ideas from the most successful business leaders/Board of Directors.
2) All employees earning over 100k a year should work one shift without pay. (Southwest Airlines employed this tactic a week after 9/11 and was the only airlines to realize a profit in the years to come.)
3) These auto industry giants should (while before the end of the year last year would have been great to avoid inventory taxes for their sake) liquidate their SUVs and trucks to needy families and working class individuals to help boost the American workforce and the charitable donation would be a huge tax write-off.
We have always been told " Be careful what you ask for!" Those words have never rung with more truth then now. People voted for change and look what we got.
